Teaching Resources
Teaching is not an easy task. But it can be rewarding! I've provided some must-haves on this page for easy reference.
Professional Dispositions
As teachers, our values and ethics affect our students. For more details about GCU's Professional Dispositions of Learners, visit the Student Success Center.
Writing ABCD Objectives
The ABCD method is extremely helpful when creating measurable objectives (Audience, Behavior, Condition, Degree of Mastery), particularly as objectives need to be written in terms of learning outcomes: What do you want your students to learn as a result of the lesson?
I like the easy-to-understand explanation of objectives given at http://www.educationoasis.com/curriculum/LP/LP_resources/lesson_objectives.htm.
And there are some good details for the ABCD method at http://ets.tlt.psu.edu/learningdesign/objectives/writingobjectives.
